I'm currently building my second coop and am looking for helpful ideas or tips that have worked for others.

In my first coop I painted all the walls with a high gloss white paint in hopes that it would make it easier to clean. I'm positive that it was better to paint then not to paint at all, but I think there might be some better ideas out there that could work better then just painting the interior again.

Thanks for looking at my post, any ideas are appreciated

painting is great

I do not know the technical name for this bathroom wall panel but it is easy to clean. The paint was washing away when I scrubbed chicken poo off the wall. This is so much easier.

Wow! You have art on your chicken coop wall - and a CEILING FAN??? Either this is the Taj Mahal of chicken coops or your birds live in the house with you!

You gave me a very good idea, though. I am building a new goose house, and I could put those inexpensive plastic sheets that look like fake tiles (that you use in bathrooms) for the interior walls.

Yes, art because the wall looked so naked (more for me then them) and a ceiling fan. :) This is the Cluck On Inn

They also have A/C! With how hot and humid it was here in AZ this summer, they enjoyed hanging inside during the say.

Wow, you have seriously gone all out!! Neither my duck house nor my goose house is close enough to our house for them to have power. They just have to suck it up and do without ceiling fans and A/C!! It gets hot and humid here in East Texas, but if I can be out working in it then they can, too. I hope your birds know how lucky they are!

I was right - it's the Taj Mahal of chicken coops!

It was actually built to look to be a shed/coop/playhouse. We live in a small neighborhood so in case we ever decide to sell, it would show well. I do think my girls know how lucky they are. Too many of my AZ BYC friends were losing their chickens to the heat and I just didn't want to chance it. I already had 8 pass away in the last year due to different issues. Very heartbreaking.

You're right, losing your animals is heartbreaking. I lost five ducklings to chicken snakes, but I killed three snakes so no more problems for a while now. My ducks are too big at this point for the snakes to go after them, and I WILL have hardware cloth all over the run before my ducks start to lay eggs. I'm determined not to lose any more.
