Painting Inside Coop Questions

Hey Guys,
I was wondering what kind of paint you all have used for inside the coop. It seems like a good idea to seal the wood on & around the roosts for easy clean up and longevity. Anyone have advice or experience you’d like to share on this?

I caulked all the cracks and used a apoxie paint. Best thing I ever did! I can wash the entire inside and the poop comes off very easily. I also painted the roosts and walls with it.

Yess! That is what I’m talking about! That is exactly what I’m trying to do. The floor is already vinyl but I wanted everything able to be easy washed! You don’t find it to be slippery for the birds at all? No problems come up?

It should be covered with shavings or other bedding. They can slip and hurt themselves. Besides, the shavings keep the heat in.

Yes, we will be using bedding, probably chopped straw or wood shavings in the coop. Are the roosts slick? They don’t slide off so they?

If you see the “chips” on the roosting bars, I put a lot on the the floor so it is not slippery. I have never had a problem with them slipping.
