Panicked!! Wrong duck air sac size!

I’m not losing hope because I’ve had chickens hatch on the 29th day. But honestly what are my chances that they’re dead from what I’ve told you.

When did you last candle and see movement? I still think it’s early and you are over-anxious. I know it’s difficult to wait, but I still think your chances are good!

Bad would it be if I open the incubator and they have pipped. I have Heard that if you spray them with water whenever there are hatching it helps

No no no, definitely do not spray them. Not now, and not while they are hatching either.

I’m pretty sure they punctured the air sell and opening to to see in the past has helped to see pips

Shine your light from every angle possible, all around each egg. Shining across the surface, you may be able to spot cracks that you can’t see from head on view.

They can pip anywhere! The higher percentage (guess 80%+ ??) is when looking at the egg toward the air cell end, upper left of center along the air cell line. But they can literally pip wherever their beak ends up, wherever that may be.

This one was starting to zip. The pip was on the side closer to the vertical line. They zip counter-clockwise
