Panicking! Advice please!!!!

He really wants out but although no yawning and we are entering day 33 in less than 2 hours...he did just make a nibbling motion. Mind you his hatchling sister does that too and she is out and about. The membrane is around his head so maybe just trying to stretch it.
If the membrane is super hard, it’s not going to be able to push free on its own. When you pick off a bit of shell, moisten the membrane under the shell really well until you can see if it is clear of veins. If it’s clear you can remove a bit more shell

This is what my assisted duckling looked like when it was ready to hatch. See how the membrane is clear of veins.

At this point I removed enough shell until the duckling could free it’s head and neck, and then I let the duckling crawl out of the shell on its own

I see. I will check for veins again in an hour and take a pic. Will you be awake? Where are you located?

Just a side note...a massive area of shell isn't touching anything...just to be clear.
Yep I’ll probably be awake. I’m not sure what to think about the area where the shell isn’t touching.

Do you see veins? When I lokmat the picture you showed me I think I see a couple so...I am just not confident. I removed a bit of shell and dampened his membrane as far as I could w warm water. It helped a bit. His head is under his wing and his shoulder is pushing against the membrane. Poor guy has it all going on.
