I'd like to see the ducks body standing up please, are you sure it's not the crop that is big?
and panting is very normal for Pekins it seems they can get over heated easily what are the temps where your keeping them? How old and what does poop look like, is the duck eating and drinking?

What's the reasoning that they're still in a cage and not outside? Lack of Mobility is going to cause a whole set of problems especially with heavyset Birds.

Ok. Thanks for the replies.
First, if he has a clogged gizzard what would I do?

Second, they sleep in an extra large dog crate inside the air conditioned house with fans (not blowing on all areas, but in case they need to cool down). It’s cool in the house. They swim and are in the yard all day, as I work from home. We have a large coop and run for them, but because they are only 6 weeks old, and because I have been worried about them, I am not ready to have them sleep outside. But they have ample space to walk and play and swim.

This week, we are at my parents house, as I am watching their dog. The dog does not have contact with them, but is non-aggressive and not interested in them. My dog also ignores them, but I keep them separated in case this were to change (I do exposure everyday, but neither seems interested in the other).

I will post video today, but they are at my parents house in their yard today and have two smaller pools due to travel.

Just a friendly word of advice - It helps to add to your original thread where all the background information lives so we have this information all in one place. If you feel the need to begin a new thread, a link to the other thread that has the background information is helpful.

Birds pant for a number of reasons, not all related to a health disorder. Your baby duck could easily be suffering stress by being in a strange new place, and even if the dog doesn't bother them, they can stress from just seeing the strange animal.

Being transported from one place to another can also stress a bird. The temperature spread from the warm outdoors to indoor air conditioning can also stress. Best to keep the temperature extremes minimized. Even if it's hot, with plenty of water and shade, your ducklings may be better off remaining outside than brought into the air conditioning. It's stressful needing to constantly be adapting to temperature extremes.

I'd like to see this duck up walking and what the body looks like. Is he always panting or just when he lays down? Pics of poop would be good too. What do you feed them?

If clogged gizzard he probably wouldn't be passing much poop the reason asking about poop and what it looks like Pics would be good.

Sounds like he is in a great environment so hopefully it's nothing serious.

Oh and what about their eating habits does he gorge? I have a Buff female who gorges sometimes [I keep food out continually during daylight] and by evening her chest is huge then in the morning it is back to normal

Here are a few videos from this morning. Thanks for the advice so far, guys. They are so used to coming in at night they walk right up to the door when they are ready. This is their second time at my parents house. And sadly, right now, it’s the only thing I can do to make sure they are always cared for and monitored. Not much I can do about the dogs just existing, but good to keep in mind. I will post poo pics soon. But it ranges in color from darker brown, lighter brown, to greenish when they have kale, to whitish yellowtail Brown. Sometimes it is in solid clumps, but mostly diarrhea. I wonder if this is related to how much they love being in the pool?
