I bought a new boy yesterday. He is blue pied, with just a sprinkling of white spots around his head. I boght him from a breeder cage but when i got him home and took him out of the box he stood on my finger! He is tame! I only paid $42.50. What a steal!

I have a cockatiel - we also gave "him" a boys' name, but he's never talked, so am not sure he's really a boy. Hasn't laid an egg, either, though...

bawkbawkbawk, look at the tail feathers on your cockatiel. If the bottom side the look solid colored it is a boy. If they look like they have broken horizontal irregluar strips and speckles, it is a girl. All juveniles have that broken look as youngsters.
