Here we are almost one year later, 341 days to be exact, and Luna Petunia is presenting with the same signs! I brought her inside my shop today to keep a close eye on her. The first thing she did was drink, and drink, and drink, and drink. Her first BM didn't show the typical signs of dehydration (and neither did she), but it was a bit dry and right on the verge of being considered constipation. Throughout the day BM's became more and more watery but always contained broken up more solid material. Diarrhea is apparently taking the water balance in her body and throwing everything off, including crop function. She's doesn't have a blocked crop, but it's definitely slow. I'm offering her moistened pellets and dry pellets. She has lost some weight, but it's not quite as bad as last time. She's sleeping with her flock but at this point, she's happy to go in the shop during the day. She is in the more painful pin cushion part of molting. I feel like I need to get the diarrhea under control so that I can work on getting her crop clear and then getting her weight back on. My plan for tomorrow is to dose her with Valbazen (one of her flockmates did have tapes but I'm not seeing any in her poops. I do have equimax on hand if necessary), lots of crop massages, watch water intake, offer some foods that help diarrhea, and same as today. Anything else you'd suggest?
