I'm just wondering how old he will be when he crows and how often.Aw, Oliver is going to be a manly little looker when he's done feathering out. He's definitely male, if you still had any question.
Before I had roosters I was against them also. I didn't want to hear the noise I was concerned about our close neighbors also that they would be aggressive. But at one point I ended up with straight run chicks and I got myself a few roosters out of the bunch. I decided to give it a whirl and come to find out I LOVE LOVE LOVE roosters. If roosters laid eggs I think I would own mostly roosters lol. They are BEAUTIFUL and I love the crowing, it doesn't bother me one bit and for the year I have owned the roosters my neighbors haven't complained(fingers crossed it stays that way). But I understand roosters aren't for everyone. I hope you get a quiet crower and maybe your mom will change her mind. If not He is very pretty Im sure someone will give him a wonderful lifelong home.
