Partridge Rock rooster?

Oh no! The feathers on the back, wings and tail are all Partridge pattern, brown edged with black. It doesn't look like adult Partridge roosters have that pattern at all. Is it possible for them to have these feathers as babies and then change to single-color adult feathers?

Initially the difference is in chest feathers. They go through several juvenile molts in the first few months and this is when changes in body plumage really emerges
