Yes! This chicks is absolutely stunning. I'm in love!Wondering how this chick feathered out, any updates?
Initially, I took the hen who I suspect is the mother out of the pen because I didn't want any more flukes. But I seriously contemplating putting her back in because of how this chick turned out.
It is definitely from two Silkie parents (not the OEGB!).
He/she (thinking she) feathered in a muted black with silver tipped feathers all over her body. Almost like mottled, but a lot less color on the end. I'm not sure if it's just extreme silver leakage or what, but it's gorgeous! If anyone has any opinions on what it is I would love to know. I'm planning on trying to replicate it actually! Someone hatched out some eggs from a mixed pen we have set up and they ended up with a silver partridge. Not sure how (no silver partridge in our flock, didn't even know we had a silver carrier), but we purchased him from her and are probably going to cross him with this little girl.
