I think they are lovely , I personally like their color and think their type is awsome . You said they are darker then you like --- Do you have partridge of what you think is proper color that you could show us ? I'm just learning this color and boy it really is throwing me for a loop . I'd really be very grateful to pics from the colors of partridge that people are raiseing . I was chatting with someone the other day and said this -- boy did I ever feel like a kid - I was kinda scolded about how partridge is only one color and peoples crossings have created all the confushion . Well all I really want to know is what would be a correctly marked partridge silkie . And I love the crolor varieties now in partridge just would like to know how to popperly get them and is it how each prefers or is their a basic guide in the shades and or varieties ? Don't ask me to explain what I mean

I am the worst with all the genetic stuff lol... I have no clue half the time about any of it! All I no is I love the partridge !
I would guess if you show her to put her under AOV??? I think that is what I would do bc I don't think she would be good as far as her color for regular partridge but you need someone who know's' what they are talking about to tell you lol...
Since you really dont no what color she is you won't no what color roo to use is my guess. Jsut try her with what you have and see what you get??? Or she has lav in her you could also try her with a lav roo to see what you get???
Aren't I great help! NOT lol....

Heyyyyyyyyyyyy I seen her first

-- I'm still not sure what I'm going to do yet -- but you know I really think I'm going to keep better track of all my unanswered questions and as I find answers or solutions .

I have another one - Have you or anyone here used a smooth feather bird to better their color or type? How many generations does it take to get them back to pure ? I've never done this but must confess I'm seriously thinking about it .( I have a friend that has some really nice oegb partridge )

Tammy,
I have never done that so I have no clue!!! I think that there are so many nice partridge that you wouldn't really need to do that.
That would be a long haul project for sure.
What are you trying to do anyway? As far as color and type that you don't think you can get done without a smooth bird?

If you guys add me on facebook (Hannah Misner) , there is an album with my partridge silkies, unfortunately i dont have the img code of the pics to load onto byc.
