Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Very sorry to hear of you loss. It has been one horrible year for weather and losing chickens. Worst I have seen in the past 6 years that we have been up here. I can only imagine how bad AZ is in the summer time. I would definitely keep them on electrolytes. That should help battle dehydration. Have you tried gently dunking them in Luke cool water up to the chest and letting them just stand in it for a few minutes to cool their body temps down? Keeping them in the shade and giving them cold watermelon and other cold fruit? Cold yogurt will help also.
I feel so bad for you. Hopefully you can get some chickens from that other person. I have found that when I lose one it does help to replace with another. it seems to help the hurt. But that's just me.

Well I lost my sweet little Princess this morning. I have been working for months to get her better and we finally lost the battle

I really loved that little brat! She was so sweet and one of my favorite and I was really hopeing she would get better.

I think when I bought her on the trip home she got really stressed and was doing that thing when they can't stand and the legs stick out in the front. I worked a long time with her jsut getting her to stand up. But she has never really been right and I was really hopeing she would be. ONe day she would be fine and then the next day she wasn't. Just a never ending battle that she lost

Is it just me or is it always the beautiful ones that die?? I don't think I have EVER lost a cull lol....

It's always SOMETHING with these birds but ya gotta love them and I have plenty more to fill my heart
