No, I got them from the same lady I got my original barnevelder chicks a month and a half ago. They are all really healthy and none of them gave me any problems
they're all between 5-8 weeks old. I went back to her for a barnevelder pullet because the straight run chicks I picked were both cockerels
. And of course, while I was there, fell in love with the carrot top and swifter duster looking things!
I do have a partridge silkie, but am confused to the difference between blue partridge and partridge? Does anyone have pictures of both? And im not sure if mine is a pullet or cockerel. Its older, but not very. Probably 6-7 weeks I'm guessing. I think it was only a few days old when I got it and that was june 18th. Its hard to see any comb formation due to the large poof on the head. I forgot my camera this morning when I let them out of the coop and they are nearly impossible to get while outside due to my electric chicken fence
Plus, we just love pics! Mine are now 5 weeks, and I can't believe how much they have changed in a week! I'm seeing lots of red coming in on several of the 7 Partridges. Love the "pin head look" too!
They are also getting over their shy period. I guess they figured that big, scary hand wasn't so bad after all.
They are still in the house due to this awful heatwave, but I've been taking them all out, all 14 of them, when the air cools off a bit, and let them run in their ex pen. They are hysterical to watch!
