Very sorry to hear of you loss. It has been one horrible year for weather and losing chickens. Worst I have seen in the past 6 years that we have been up here. I can only imagine how bad AZ is in the summer time. I would definitely keep them on electrolytes. That should help battle dehydration. Have you tried gently dunking them in Luke cool water up to the chest and letting them just stand in it for a few minutes to cool their body temps down? Keeping them in the shade and giving them cold watermelon and other cold fruit? Cold yogurt will help also.
I feel so bad for you. Hopefully you can get some chickens from that other person. I have found that when I lose one it does help to replace with another. it seems to help the hurt. But that's just me.
