Or could be they have more melanizers or...

Generally, the darker their skin, the darker the comb. This also goes along with plumage colouring--the darkest boys seem to have the darkest combs, whereas the ones who are way too buff/red tend to have more red in their combs.

Awww P that sucks!!!! I really want you to come!!!!
And Debbi I have had the same avitar for so long I'm jsut afraid to change it lol... I remember people by the picture they have and when they change it it messes me all up lol... So i figure i can't be the only one easily confused!

Maybe that happens... I just recently put all of my teenage boys in a pasture together and it was like overnight that all of those tiny beautiful mulberrry combs EXPLODED and turned much redder (is that a word).

Yes. Red, redder, reddest. "That angry guy has the reddest face I've ever seen." "The punch flavoured gatorade is redder than the berry flavoured."

Okay, I'll change mine... I guess it only makes sense since that's basically all that I raise.

And Jen, my dear.... You were born confused, so what difference does it make? Actually it might be kinda fun to keep you that way.....
