Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

At this age, from a photo it's so hard to tell. It looks like it's going to be light colored however. I do see some pencilling on the wings, the more the better. How are her toes? All 10 there and in correct position? It looks good right now, but WAY to young to tell about SQ. You just have to keep an eye on it and keep reading the SOP backwards and forwards and inside and out until you know it by heart. Keep matching this little baby up to what you read. Watch for it's crest and foot feathering developement. Look for the how tight it keeps its wings pulled into its body. Look at pictures of some good birds and keep comparing. These are just a few things that you watch for.

Thank you so much. Is there any pictures here that I can compare her to?

I don't think there are any here that show a specific bird from beginning to finished out. I know there are lots of pictures on this thread, but that doesn't mean they are SQ. But you can look back and compare it to what you see. Like I said, it's going to go through SO many changes in the next few months. You haven't hit the homely stage yet..... That's a fun stage..

I make it a point to check out their eyes whenever I pick mine up. Push the "fur" back, and say, "there you are!" Their eyes get really big like they're saying; "OMG! There YOU are!! "

seem like there some birds pic always come out great other u never get good shot of

Mine ALWAYS either turn their backs or come up really close to peck at the lens.

Haha! That's exactly what mine do! Once made a noise with my lips to try and get their attention and everyone of them ran for cover like they'd seen a hawk! Needless to say I don't do that any more!
