I didn't have the heart to tell him otherwise...

That he fills in some more. I was watching him today and I do really like him. So, I went and dug out Tater's Pic's at that age and it was the same for him. SOooo, I guess I will give him 3 more months and if that crest isn't where I want it you all can tell me where to ship em

very nice type but i wouldnt call that partrdge

The pullet is a buff but Tater is definitely a partridge

. He's just on the light orangey side. He won first place at the June BPS for a partridge cockrel and didn't get DQ'd. Maybe the pic is deceiving

I will try to dig out a pic somewhere of Fonze. I have this boys full brother but I haven't paid much atten to him. I'll have to see if I can get some decent pics of him tomorrow if it doesn't rain here. I plan on selling his bro at the Boston Poultry Show in a few weeks.

I know he's good but I guess I'm just picky. I want one just like my Fonze and I know that is going to be hard to find

I breed Tater the light orangey partridge to all my super dark partridge pullets. His orange trait definitely breeds in.

Here's a pic of his daughter:

Taters type is A++ according to the Judge but hed like to see less orange of course. And his offspring is the same thing. So I guess all I can hope for is to breed these light ones with great type to the dark partiridge cockrel and hope that offspring darkens up!
