paypal dispute deadline....today!

OK, so the consensus is I am up the creek with out a paddle here. Perhaps I should take off the dispute. Lesson learned, I guess.
Thanks for your replies.

I removed the dispute and left positive feedback. I was a jerk for rushing to a dispute. I guess I will be more careful next time. Honestly, I was so fed up in the sheer lack of chicks, eggs and adult Sultans available. This is why I got so into the bidding war. Next time, I will just PM the seller for a future shipment without the battle!

Out of the 4 eggs we actually hatched this last time, one of them was very porous, and I was certain it was a dud.

It's a little peeper in the brooder now. So don't discount your porous eggs!

the chances of this seller ever selling to you again is minimal at best. Even if all of your replacement eggs hatch. You bid it up yourself, the seller sent replacement eggs, and you still filed a dispute. Instant block if I were that seller.

I would not have left positive feedback, until I got the second batch and see what happens. you can leave feedback without it being positive or negative...and put in you feedback that the eggs were porous and she doesn't believe in using calcium. that way if i saw her eggs I would be able to make a more informed decision. Sending you another batch is pretty great on her part...depending on her ad wording. I never take an egg out of the bator unless it is really not developing or smells...heck I have had some hatch on Day 26...

I am glad you changed your mind and removed the dispute even if a little late. It's always best to take a deep breath and then sleep on it. I have been an active Ebay buyer

for 13 years and I have rarely left anything other than positive feedback. It's not a walk in store and eggs for hatching? Right there should be a warning sign.. buy at your own risk. These are eggs not a pair of shoes. Delicate, natural and tossed by the mailman like a ping pong ball. When you bid on what would be a risky item you decide before you bid what's your risk level? It really does sound like the seller is fair and how she raises her birds is a personal decision. Plenty of other people here have had positive hatches with what others may think are less than perfect eggs. Heck there are thousands of humans walking around that I am sure came from a less than perfect egg

For that much money, if their all duds, I would dispute, and if you get good replacments you can drop the dispute.
Were you able to see why they were duds? Like are they even fertile? I would also leave a comment in her feedback so that others know theirs an issue with the eggs if the replacements are bad also! Even if you dont win the dispute, its the principle behind it. You of course dont expect a high hatch rate on shipped eggs but for all the eggs to be duds has to say something. And Iv never disputed something on ebay but my understanding is you can drop a dispute, so you could let the seller know your starting the dispute because of the time frame and that you will drop it if the replacment eggs are of better quality.

Even though you hit the button on the bid, I think that sellers should be held accountable for shady sales no matter what the sold product may be. Otherwise great sited like ebay would turn to crap.

Um, I am NEVER bidding on anything from this person again. So blocking me would be pointless. If I even get the replacement eggs I will be fine. It just makes me mad that someone would sell such poor quality eggs in the first place. I understand the risk of shipping eggs, but its the poor quality of the eggs that upsets me.

yep, still infertile. i got the replacement eggs today. she sent 8, one was cracked but still leaves 7 to try. I'm hoping these are fertile and good to go! I lost my Sultan to a hawk yesterday.
