Okay I just went to paypal by straight typing it in. Is this a fake page and an attempt to fish for my password.

Can anyone else see if this is happening to them?

Thanks.

Same for me too! Did you see the "lock" code on the bottom of your screen? And the PayPal link? You really hav eto be very careful of Paypal addy, make sure its legit!

Okay, that's weird ....the other "real"page came back!!!!

But when I logged in, I did see a note that they were doing server maintenance so I must have hit them during that time....It scared me sure enough...

Thank you all.... All is well.

Have a blessed evening.

On a side note, I had an email yesterday that said I had paid, (someone I didnt know) over$500 and to cancel this payment click here. It looked all legit but it wasnt. I logged into my account to see about it and it wasnt there. Just becareful.

Happened to me a few time in my junk mail and I always check my Paypal to make sure and surely it was untouched.

All good advice, but the real determiner to a websites authenticity is the URL, or the address you see at the top of the page.

The https and lock key at the bottom of the page can all be copied by a criminal by simply installing certain software on the server the site is located on. What can not be copied thought is the correct URL.

www.paypal.com and www.paypal.ca should appear after https://

Watch out that you don't get slight variations such as www.pay-pal.com, www.pay_pal.com or even www.paypall.com
