Not entirely. I moved him to a different coop, cuz he beats up on his father. Blinded his father Goliath in an eye, & broke his toe during a fight.

Sometimes boys are just going to be boys. Even bad boys. It's a shame as the father and son could be a dynamic duo in a breeding program.

Long hogged all the ladies, refused to share. Didn't get a single baby from Goliath last year due to him. Would've been nice if he behaved himself.

Got 4 offspring for the project all fathered by Long, only wanted a couple from him.
Separate coops and runs needed when there is a problem like that. The only way to be sure of getting chicks from both father and son.

Yep, I know. Hoping I can eventually set up another coop to separate certain birds. But that's when I get hired into a job I applied for like 2 months ago.
That's important too. I remember in the 60's how a 58 hour work week in MI was considered a fringe benefit. The Detroit Free Press had so many pages of jobs for a long time and then one day it was all gone.
My aged eyes are shot for the day. I'll check in tomorrow for any updates.

Looks like I'll be getting Goliath babies this year. He's starting to breed the ladies now, since I removed his son from the coop.
