I know how you feel. I ended up with UNO as my one and only. I was just really glad to have at least one chick. I see a lot of us only get one chick that seems so rare why one chick?? Why does one come out and not the rest? I really enjoyed spoiling him sadly when I was gone something happened and he passed awayLooks like the little Bronze is all I'm getting from this batch. Little BP must've passed yesterday or today, the little guy was fully formed. I didn't take him all the way out of the shell, but what I did was moisten down the air sac membrane so I could see through, and the poor thing was just still.
I candled the rest of them just for good measure (was not confident they were going to hatch going into lockdown - no movement, no veins), and they all look the same, not fully dark in the shell area.
Looks like I'll bring some new babies home tomorrow, anyhow.
I am still happy about my one and only, though.I think I'll get better hatch rates with local eggs that don't have to go through 2 days of shipping and hot delivery trucks. New hatch date will be August 11th if I'm setting tomorrow.
