Pea Eggs Scheduled to Hatch?

Well, once again, although I didn't hatch them (Mom did!), they're so cute that I have to sneak them into this thread...
Their names are Twig and Sprig, and they are now 4 1/2 weeks old.

The absolute cutest thing is when they roost. They've been sleeping on a branch in the big oak tree over our house, and in the evening I can look straight up and see Mom, with Twig and Sprig poking their little heads out from under her...it is really sweet.
Way to cute. I can't believe they change that fast in 4 1/2 weeks. Love Twig and Sprig for names, really unique.

I brought 3 friends home for little Muppet today: an almost pure white Silver Pied - the biggest, so I'm assuming oldest, can't be by more than a couple days, though; A cute little Blue Black Shoulder; and a cute little Blue Pied who's marked as Blue split Bronze - so if that one and Mupps (Bronze) are a pair, I'd get some cool coloring from them down the road. I will post pics tomorrow, because I'm still letting them settle in, they had a long - 2 1/2 hour - car ride home, and they're pretty spooked of hands and just people in general, so hopefully they'll calm down once they realize they're home now.

Cutest thing ever, though, as soon as I put the new guys in with Muppet - who is the youngest and smallest of all 4 - he/she displayed! Held those little wings out and put those tiny tail feathers straight up and walked towards the "intruders." Probably the sweetest thing I've ever seen, only 2 days old! :) They all settled in nicely and they're sleeping in a pea pile right now. :)

Oh, oh you got the pea fever now. You'll be driving like me after the big ones. Lot less time to play with Muppet now. I'm finding with 4 a lot more cage to clean up. That's the only time they get irritated. Instantly when the cage is clean they all poop just to let me know it.

I just don't like having single babies, they make me sad, because I can't spend as much time with them as I'd like. And I thought 4 would be a nice number, in case something happens to one of them or something. I also got 5 more hatching eggs, though, so that'll be good.

Wow, good for you I bet you feel better now that he has some friends. Have fun with them :)

Yea they need friends. I did the same thing. Got 4 more eggs. This time I have one of those alarms if temp changes to much. Only I have to be here. I don't gamble, but this hatching these eggs is such a challenge you want to try it again. I guess I found my addiction.

Thanks! They are fun. :) In my opinion much cuter than baby chickens or ducks. I love their long necks! And how when their wings get too heavy they just let them droop. Adorable.

Here's a picture of the babies:

Muppet's a little ham, but the others enjoy looking at themselves in the mirror, they're still shy of humans, but I'm spending one-on-one time with each of them today, and they're doing alright. :) More pics later.

The three new guys, from left to right; Blue Blackshoulder, Blue Pied split Bronze, and Silver Pied.

And the four - it's hard to get them all facing the camera. :p
