PEACOCKS DROPPING TAIL FEATHERS

Just got back from feeding, watering and picking up more train feathers. Velocity and Majesty are now losing theirs along with the newly adopted Captain.

One Eyed Jack still hasn't lost any but his girl is sitting on eggs so no more eggs from that pen this year. Hope I get some offspring from that pen to further my purples.

how do you manage to sell your feathers i can never get anyone to buy any of mine
 
I wonder too why some take so long to lose them and some quickly.. One male lost them in about 8 days and one about two weeks. Wierd huh

Jack blew his out in about 4 days. Really pretty feathers. I am taking a handful over to a friend's house and trade her some feathers for a few gallons of figs. Yum!

I advertise some for sale or have some sitting in a jar when people come to the farm and they will ask about them and I tell them they are for sale.
If I see something I want from someone I ask if they would like to barter and I also go to swaps or poultry sales locally (not auctions) and take some.

I like that idea of trading. I posted mine on Craigslist and someone wants to buy them. They are getting married and their theme is peacock. I never heard of that. I will try your idea about bartering. Everyone wants a peacock feather for FREE but no one wants to buy them. Go figure. :/

How many feathers do you have and how many are you trading for a few gallons of figs. That will give me an idea of where to start.

Post on Craigslist. That's what I did. Everyone will want them for FREE but I suggest you try to make a few dollars if you can.
 
Good idea. I used to trade my lady amhearst feathers for some peafowl feathers before I had em. Sold em too. Make a little feed moolah.
