Peafowl for 2013

Blue Creek Farm, last night it was dark when I brought them inside to their new pen.I kept a lite on all nite because I didn't want them to get FAA clearance and do a header into the roof and break their necks.I checked them this morning before work and all (including the new peach hen) was on their roost and seemed happy. Tonight I fed and watered almost ar dusk again but from what little I have seen of them in the true daylight, the male and female both has a lite carmel color around their necks and the males entire body looks this carmel color.I plan to add my highest egg producing black shoulder silver pied hen and a dark or plain silver pied hen so he will have a total of 3 hens with him.He was witnessed breeding a hen early this week so hopefully after they get settled things will continue.
Now I'm counting down until Saturday to get my Cameo w/e 3 yr old trio. I've spent hundreds of dollars the past 3years on Cameo fetile eggs and never got 1 to hatch out,,,not one,so from past experience and an empty wallet these birds are getting a huge welcome mat as well here.

Congratulations! I still I am eagerly waiting for pictures of my dream birds!

Blue Creek,,it would be soo nasty to say "April Fools" yes? It's supposed to begin raining here saturday thru next wednesday and the predictions are over 3" of heavy rain at times,,I was going to move them all to their breeding pens over this weekend, especially after tonight seeing my first egg in my Purple pen but then after watching the local weather waiting another week to move them and get pics is better for the peas.I may be fast building another inside pen for the arrival of the Cameos as well Saturday. No use bringing them to their final home and making them stay outside. It's no April Fools joke,,I have them and once again tonight they looked very content and watched as I fed the other peas.

Well that's okay!
I hope the weather gets better, and your bird's happiness should not be disturbed by some crazy person wanting pictures of them. All I require is that you will get pictures of them sometime on here for us to see. New peas are always exciting!!!

*Edited to say weather not feather!*

Got my Peafowl today, a 4 a half hour trip but worth it. Here they are, it looks like the male may have angel wing on one side, is there anyway to fix that?
