Peafowl for 2013

Yea I thought I was too but the girls didn't. They kept laying eggs so I was forced to incubate them. As horrible as this incubation period was with power outages, high spiked temps and humidity problems, I'm surprised I've gotten a good hatch. 9 so far. Looks like half white and the other half IB colors.
Congratulations

Lol I know exactly what you mean. I'm already pulling my hair out and trying to make sure they have a good home. And to top it all off, guess what I find when I go out to the pea pen???? I almost fainted.

I don't know, could it be another egg?  Did the peahen ever go broody?

Bingo!!!! You are correct. More eggs. This is their 5th cycle of eggs. No, the hens never went broody. Probably because I always picked their eggs and they never got a chance to go broody.

Eggs are still hatching. I have someone driving 3 hours today to come and buy 3 of the peas. I don't think I will have problems selling them.

3 of the babies have been sold. They are on their way to their new home which is about 3 hours away. The girl that bought them came with a pink carrying case lined with a diaper. They are traveling in style!!!

Yes Kathy. I was relieved after talking to her knowing that they wil be very well cared for.

The next buyer is coming after lunch. I think that she is also a exceptional owner as well.
