I know a guy who hatches an occasional peafowl / guinea cross by running peacocks with his guineas. He says you have to incubate about a hundred guinea eggs to get one to hatch and sometimes it won't live, but when it does, it usually does well.

He also crosses an occasional pheasant with a chicken and has one of those now.

It's not something i would want to try, but interesting none-the-less.

I thought the poor little thinkg looked like a vulture too. Wierd.

Randy, one common thing said about those hybrids is that they don't live past a couple years.. has that been your experience?

Also what colors peafowl & guineas crossed? I wonder about white peafowl x white guinea & pied x white etc.. as this is a good way to find out if the color mutations are homologies or not....(if white pea x white guinea= white hybrids it shows the white are "the same" in both)

Hey do you have any pics of your hybrids? And another thing, do you AI or do you just let them run together? I've wanted to try this for a long time. They are so neat looking.
