I am so tempted to steal that sand blasting cabnit and make an incubator out of it so I could observe the eggs without opening the bator, ain't like DH would miss it if I put a box in it's place under that cover

If I get any more eggs after all the ones in the bator hatch i am going to try a dry hatch and see how that comes out, I will set some guinea eggs with them just for fun!
Heck the humidity in my house is 60% now and 55 in the hatcher and it is off and there is no resivor of water in it,LOL I may have been filling that thing up for nothing.
I just turned the hatcher back on to see what humidity is without any thing and the fan going.
Are ya doing wee peas?I'm dry hatching a bunch as I type. My house has been 40%+ the last month. Its 55% right now. It must be working, I'm getting about a 75% hatch rate.
I'll add to the hatch-a-long also. I have 2 eggs in LD and 2 pips. One is going to be out soon, right at 4 hours from pip to hatch. The other is enjoying the scenery evidently.
Kat ya know if ya get over run with peas you can grow your own meal worms with a 50 pound bag of rice bran, easy peasy.Egg number 18 (chick number 10) is out... Off to the feedstore to get some leg bands and mealworms!
