Sending good hatching vibs.
I am so tempted to steal that sand blasting cabnit and make an incubator out of it so I could observe the eggs without opening the bator, ain't like DH would miss it if I put a box in it's place under that cover

If I get any more eggs after all the ones in the bator hatch i am going to try a dry hatch and see how that comes out, I will set some guinea eggs with them just for fun!

Heck the humidity in my house is 60% now and 55 in the hatcher and it is off and there is no resivor of water in it,LOL I may have been filling that thing up for nothing.
I just turned the hatcher back on to see what humidity is without any thing and the fan going.

I'm dry hatching a bunch as I type. My house has been 40%+ the last month. Its 55% right now. It must be working, I'm getting about a 75% hatch rate.

I'll add to the hatch-a-long also. I have 2 eggs in LD and 2 pips. One is going to be out soon, right at 4 hours from pip to hatch. The other is enjoying the scenery evidently.

Egg number 18 (chick number 10) is out... Off to the feedstore to get some leg bands and mealworms!

Kat ya know if ya get over run with peas you can grow your own meal worms with a 50 pound bag of rice bran, easy peasy.

Funny you should mention that, we were just looking at a link on how to raise them, 'cause I'll go broke buying them from the store at 20 for $1.

The one is out, and I'm excited. Looks to be all white with one colored wing and a dark stripe down the middle of its back. Photos to come shortly..
