Deerman always said that the white birds have a color pattern to them. It is just the white color hiding it. For example, I know that I bred my White eye charcoal to the split to charcoal hen. I got 4 pure white birds. Deerman checked into the backgrounds of the parent birds cause I got them from him. Turns out the charcoal male has pied in him and so does the hen. Knowing this he said that any white birds from this pair can be charcoal color being masked by the white. Only breeding them can tell. So if the white male produces any charcoal chicks he is most likely a "white" charcoal. If he doesn't then he will be a IB split to charcoal. Now if any of the hens DO NOT lay eggs then they are "white" charcoal hens, but if they do lay then they are white IB split to charcoal hens. I think I stated that correctly after reading Deermans PMs to me LOL
