Interesting question about the blackhead... There's a gal on the turkey forum that has bred a blackhead resistant line of turkeys, she said it took her about five generations to get there.

Oh my gosh! That is awesome!!! Now everyone is going to have to pen some chicken hens with some peacocks. XD That is super cool though...I wonder if such a hybrid would be less likely to get blackhead or other things like that...How awesome! Ooh can you image a laced chicken crossed with a peafowl! What I really want to see is an Ostrich x Peafowl hybrid so that I can have a big peacock that I can ride on! XD I will call them "Peacock Dragons".

Ohhh I'd love a pair of these Ocellated turkeys! They truly are beautiful! And yes if you didn't know what one was you could be fooled into thinking it was a turkey / peafowl hybrid!
