The good stuff is only as good as its owner, your setup works, many eggs have been hatched in styrofoam incubators over the years and some people swear by them. They do require more maintaining but sometimes thats the thrill of it. If your having fun and it works, dont fix it and keep us posted,

I use Styrofoam incubator. It's a Little Giant. I never use automatic egg turners. I rotate by hand.

Hi - slightly late to the party on this post but hoping I can get some guidance on some egg questions!
First up - could the eggs on the right be Muscovy eggs? I have some Muscovys that were Hatched last year that could possibly be just starting laying. Next to them are my Aylesbury eggs. The potential Muscovy eggs also have a waxy feel and have a dark coating - although I think I could scratch it off if tried.

I am thinking the white egg in the third row is probably from my leghorn as she lays white eggs - however this will be her first in a while and it is quite long compared to what I remember her last to be...

The blue eggs are easy as I have a cream created leg bar who lays me those beauties.

The other eggs are from my bluebells/Orpington’s.

I also have turkeys however they haven’t started laying yet this year - but I would recognise their eggs - and I have a peahen who will be about 18months now and every time I see a new egg wonder if it could be hers! (However from reading this thread I think I have ruled out that any of these could be hers ) . Is she likely to lay in any of my nest boxes/ coops? The turkeys LOVE to go make their nests in the woods and I’m concerned the peahen will do the same!

Any thoughts/comments or advice would be welcomed!

Those do look like they could be Muscovy eggs!

There is a very good chance that your peahen will go lay her eggs in the woods too. Keep an eye on her and if she starts getting antsy in the late afternoon, she might be getting ready to lay. Note that almost all peafowl lay late afternoons or early evening, never in the morning.
