Peanut butter gets older hens laying again

My 10 year old Wynadotte hen Henny began laying daily again after a long hiatus...when I started giving peanut butter in daily doses to my flock. Another hen, 6 years old, a Houdan, is also laying but not as frequently. Neither laid in more than a year, before I started this. Success!

Sounds like a great treat. I may stop off after work and get couple of corn cobs and smear them with peanut butter for the girls tomorrow.

neat! i'm going to try this out...perhaps it'll give a boost to my older hens who aren't laying really anymore.
We were going to butcher them, but if we can get them laying again that would be nice instead!
