Michael has informed me that the two pullets that I sold him had passed away in a tragic accident where a weasel snuck into the coop at night and killed his entire flock, leaving only one older hen.

Kiwi is a Silkie mix.
Moonshine is a Barred Rock X GL Wyandotte.
Speckles is a GLW X Cochin X EE.

1 pullet and 2 cockerels!

I kept planning to do my next hatch soon. Then I procrastinated.
Going on vacation next week so I decided we can't leave the chicks before we leave so it'll have to be after that.
That's only IF we get a reliable broody when we come back. Then again it's a little late in the year to be hatching, so I don't know...

Right now, Kiwi is looking exactly like a Bantam Ayam Cemani with feathered feet.. she’s all black from head to toe, which is interesting to me.

I’ll see if I can get some photos later.

I had a broody hatch in November. Well, 2 sharing a clutch.

I came back from vacation and saw that my most reliable broody hen, had gone broody. Going to see if I can set her today, then I’ll make the thread ASAP.

Interesting… the last hatch along I did, I also ended up with 3 chicks.. “Flo’s Hatch Along”.

I really am hoping that they’re not all cockerels.

@MysteryChicken @Rhodebar Lover @Overo Mare, is Kiwi (black) looking like a cockerel? The other two are cockerels for sure. They are all about 11 weeks old.
