PS. I got a front row seat of the 6 chicks that hatched under my broody, she so generously rolled them out before me to watch. One of her chick was shrink wrapped (I ended up assisting and chick survived) so that is my experience with clear vs. solid looking membrane.

I have a hen that is due to hatch tomorrow and the whole time she has been sitting when I go in to check on her she stands up so I can see her eggs. I think she is so proud of herself since this is her first batch. Plus she knows I love her.

2 more have hatched! A medium grey and a light grey (I think! They are still wet).

I see a few beaks poking out of eggs.

This is so exciting. I can see why people do multiple hatches in a season.

A dozen fluff balls! One I thought was grey turned out to be gold. Cool!



Excitedly waiting to see who else is going to hatch! The last 2 to hatch were very active right away and knocked over a bunch of eggs. I do see one with movement still.
