hahahaha... I just got home and got another rooster and hen from the breeder I got my first chickens from. The rooster is for the young hens since I don't want to breed brother and sister. The hen is for the young rooster...since I lost the one hen I had only 3 left. So I decited since I am already here... why not! Getting excited about next breeding season. I think we're two of a kind... chickens on the brain!!! hahahaha
Which incubator did you get?

I got a Borotto an Italian made incubator. I didn't know about them until someone in a FB group mentioned them. I wanted a forced air incubator and a turner that would incubate upright. This one checked all the boxes with the bonus that the water reservoirs are filled from the outside. I've been testing it and the temperature is really accurate.

I still got to wait 6 month until my first hatch. :hit
Maybe a test before the real thing. Since my hens were so early laying eggs I need to wait a little longer before I start. They say that hens around the time they start laying are in "bloom" and at their prettiest. That's why you should time the hatch with the show(s). Mine are well "done"... laying well. For a large chicken they don't need a lot of time to grow up.
Next year! Everything is going to be different. Starting with coccidia immunization and later hatch....
Oh, @Erba ... try washing your roosters with the yellowing. My friend uses shampoo for white horses. It might help with the yellowing. She has some issues as well... but it might actually be hard to get rid of.
By the way... Robert Höck hast a new video about Sulmtaler. My breeder friend Eva was featured in it. When you look at about minute 11+ you'll see a gold-wheaten hen. She came from my flock. I had hatched as a test and Eva took the chicks.
