You must come over next time! Thanks for the pictures!

Went to Irish Society of Poultry Fanciers' show this morning. It was great! Our timing was out though, we got there and they were still offloading and sorting out birds, so we didn't get to see everyone, before the judges moved in. We waited nearly 3 hours before having to leave, so didn't get to see who won. But I did manage to get a few quick pics.

Beautiful, isn't she?Looks amazing ! That hen in the second photo![]()
I wish I had time to take more pics and try to get better ones, but with a lot of the cages the light was against me and getting them to stand still!Hi and welcome to the thread! I haven't been but understand your part of the world is stunningly beautiful! Sounds pretty similar to here temps wise!I am from Croatia, country in Balkan area, right next to Italy. Here we have winters to about -15 at max. and summers that hit 40.

).Well, when in FranceI'm off to bed, so tired after a late night with too much wine last night - honestly when will I learn (or realise I'm not 25 anymore).
Good night!Welcome to the thread!Hi guys!
I am so glad to find you all here! I am from Croatia, country in Balkan area, right next to Italy. Here we have winters to about -15 at max. and summers that hit 40.
That is in my area at least - Croatia is weirdly shaped so we have very different climates. I feel like that is pretty mild, especially when I hear of extremes some of you have to cope with!
I nearly visited your country back in 1999/2000. Been kicking myself ever since for not going. It looks SO beautiful there!Yes quiteWell, when in FranceGood night!

we are really lucky here too as our local wine is Bergerac which is gorgeous and the Bordeaux vineyards aren't far eithers! Although they are actually much more restrained than me - when you go out to meals and things there are lots of people (women especially) who will just sit on thier one or 2 glasses. Of course there are lots of others who are more festive than that too
No offence taken Morgank! I am simply sharing information for you to do with as you wishYes i understand. Unfortunately, in my mind i can not breed (mix) siblings. If in my flock dosnt have marek, then its genetic malformation ( is it wright word? I dont know) Ok, the cochin rooster had twisted toes- upside, also slow development. Faverolle chicken has one eye normal, other blue babyeye, also too small chicken (8 month old, but like 4 month) Both are bought from one person. Possible, both cochin and faverolle parents were siblings. I always will breed chickens- same breed, same color and rooster has to be diffrent blood- oh, sorry my english. I just start breed chickens (spring 2018) so i dont have diffrent generations. Only way is to buy hatched eggs from 2 diffrent places. I have always bad to look those mixed chickens, in my country they say- pig and cuckoo is mixed. Do not offend please, this is my personal opinion.
