My 5th Leghorn this summer going broody. She decided to hatch on the top of the food barrel.

Today we had 19 C but temperatures are rising. Sunday they predict 27 C.

The chicks grow fast. 8 weeks now. They
are named after Donald Ducks nephews. In the Netherlands these names are Kwik, Kwak and Kwek.
One chick (Kwik) has definitely a very red comb and must be a rooster. Another chick (Kwek) has a comb that is less red but is very visible too (probably a rooster). And the third chick (Kwak) has a smaller comb. She acts less boyish too. I hope she will turn out to be a hen.
 
I send some pictures to the guy that sold me the fertile eggs. He says now I probably have 1 rooster and 2 hens.

If this is true they can stay all three. The cockerel only has to go next spring if he’s too loud or behaves too stupid.
