@AnnaWolf people here give them a water bath when they want to break them from being broody.

I have no experience with adding chicks to a broody, but I have been reading how to do this as safe as possible.
If you’re broodies chicks hatch you add one incubator chick after dark. See if she excepts the chick, you can add another / two more an hour or a few hours later as long as its dark.
If there are no more eggs to hatch (unfertilised/death embryos) you can take the bad eggs out and replace them for chickens.
I you have a broody on unfertilised eggs, you can do the ‘change eggs for chicks‘ trick too, from a week until 4 weeks after the got broody.
