I just bought Kenny's book. It came yesterday. I am debating to join his breeder's academy... I'll see how I am doing financially with shows and such. Not sure if I will be going to Hannover or not. Not sure if there will be another lockdown and I have no income. But I would love to do a coaching call.

I think it's because there is a lot of money in gamefowl. People are interested in breeding them because if they are good they can sell them for hundreds of dollars.

I would NOT buy books or take online courses from such masters of chicken breeding. Bc it’s against my principles to abuse animals for entertainment.

There is huge market in the US for breeding such birds.

I do have job. Just in case of lockdown I don't get paid as I would not be working. I only have a small job... I don't pay unemployment or other taxes, therefor I don't have benefits either. I am not starving or in need for anything as my husband has a good job and insurance. The money I make is my mad money... goes for chickens and my garden.

Cock fighting in the USA is illegal, as in many other countries. In the Philippines it is not, is is classed as a sport and has a long tradition there.
People still breed them, because due to the law, they would die out otherwise. The old lines of English game birds, have already died out, because of this. So people are trying to recreate them, by breeding. It's a hobby, whatever Chicken you breed, the basics of good breeding are all the same.
