so cute. Love the one yellow fuzzer amongst the browns in the red pool.

The ducks are definitely lucky they're so cute! Little pooping splashing machines, haha! I love them more every day.

I've even started decorating my house with duck items.. I found a ton of amazing stuff at a nearby antique store. I'm think I'm permanently addicted to ducks!

I understand totally. Ducks are horribly cute and I love them even tho I don't have any.

I need a bit of advice. One of my ducks injured a blood feather about a week ago. It was doing fine and healing until today. I came home to a bloody wing again. I'm thinking one of the chickens may have pecked it. That's the only thing I could think. So I'm wanting to separate them. I have a dog pen with a dog igloo she and my other duck can stay in until it's healed. However, it's supposed to get down to about 47 degrees tonight. They're about 5 weeks old and have quite a bit of adult feathers, but still some baby fuzz. Do you think if I put some pine shavings in the igloo they'll be ok? Thanks!

I would bring them in.

Hello,
I'm relatively new to BYC, and I happen to have 3 adult pekin ducks; Ying, Yang, and Aflac. (I'm sorry, my kids named them.)

Either way, one of my daughters recognized this...

We also keep chickens and bubbles in their eyes is usually not a positive sign.

Any suggestions or feedback would be appreciated.

Unfortunately I don't have anywhere else to put them. I have a very small house with 1 bathroom. They're just too big now to put them in anything in my house. They just simply won't fit. I'm getting some hay to put in the igloo, so hopefully that will help them stay warmer. I appreciate your advice though!

we've had a Muscovy that gets bubble eye occasionally. It seems to go away on it's own in a few days and doesn't really bother him...Till it does, we look at it like a cold sore, it comes and goes and leaves no damage...

It does give me a reason to pick him up and hug him!

If you have a barn or a shed that a predator can't get into that would work too

Hi everyone,
I am a new duck owner and things have been going well but I just gave my ducklings some scrambled eggs as I read that they can have that and now after feeding them they are breathing heavy and drinking lots of water and half is coming back out like drool out of their mouth or nose. I am freaking out a little bit because they can't seem to get comfortable either constantly sitting down and right back up. Can someone please help or any advice on what might be wrong or how to help them!
