Pekin Duck Club!

@Juliebird the pekins are Frank & Bean, both a couple of stinkers. Frank's a little people shy, but I will be sure to sneak a kiss into Bean at this evenings "pea party". She isn't easy to get photos Of but I'll try. Here's one in the meantime.

Adorbs! Love them both, especially Gunter photo bombing. LoL. I love runners.

Here are Flower and Squacky late yesterday evening. Enjoying a mud puddle before bed. Please excuse the jungle. I live in South Texas and mowing has been impossible with the rain. It's still so bad my car got stuck in the mud in my driveway yesterday!

Can anyone help? I have a problem with my drake (I think)!
Every morning when I go to let my ducks out for free ranging, I notice on the back of my girls heads are big red marks (I think blood) and missing feathers..they don't seem to mind or seem in pain but they look horrible! Can anyone help?
Much appreciated!!

I'm sure that there are others on that have more experience and better suggestions then. but first off I'm pretty sure we will need a little more information. how many do you have in your flock all together ducks and drakes and how old are they? also can you get any pictures? it is from my understanding that animals and of course Ducks don't really show signs of pain even if they are in some amount. I'm guessing if there's blood you're going to want to clean the areas and separate the Drake from the Ducks. I believe it is mating season, and he could be getting really rough with your girls.
To clean I think you use a saline solution, but by no means quote me on that part. I dO believe if there is fresh blood in soom areas, it need to be kept clean.

How old are they? How many drakes to females? It sounds like the result of the mating ritual.

Ok so I have 5 ducks all together! 1 drake (Pekin) and 4 ducks (2 pekin and 2 WH). The pekins are approximately 1.6 years old and the WH I would approximately say around 2 years old (not too sure as I adopted these surrendered ducks from a friend who works as a vet) but she is sure they are approximately 2 years of age!
This has always happened, as I've been told, ducks have there pecking order etc but lately it's too much! I'm scared I'll go down one day and one of my girls will be seriously hurt, or worse :O :(

personally hi would separate the drakes. you say that you still going on the whole time? that he pulls out the feathers and leaves and bloody or next that behavior seems extremely aggressive to me, but my experience is not as knowledgeable as others on here. here are a few means that I will tag to get their attention to this matter they may be able to advise you better. is there any way that you can get us pictures?

@Miss Lydia, @Amiga, @SilkieSensation, @LadyHawkeAvry, and there's Kathy... her name is castophony or something I forget how to spell it.
