Pekin Duck Club!

I have a pair of pekin.and my pekin started to lay at the age of 6 months and she continued to lay eggs around 3 to 4 months but suddenly she stopped laying and its nearly 3 months she has not yet lay a single egg.will she start to lay egg once again or she will not....I saw them mating many times outside....I'm really confused why she is not laying can anybody help me plz :(

LOL...yep, one of the many reasons that I love ducks: attitude.  I wouldn't have it any other way.

You're welcome Deb! Their personalities are great! Except when they decide to go after a gander who gets his head stuck in the divider. They plucked his fluff and left a little gouge in Oscar's head. My poor guy! It's healing and he's okay thankfully. Other then that incident they are wonderful! :)

Welcome to BYC, nithinG! I'm not quite sure where you're located, but I believe I've read that they'll stop laying when it's cold outside. I'm sure others with more knowledge will chime in.

My goofy Pekins have started something new. When they're in the pool they appear to be attempting an underwater headstand and then once they're right side up again, they immediately start flapping one wing against the water. It's like they're making their own little rain clouds. Goofy babies! It is cute, but they keep scaring the Rouens out of the pool when they do this.
