It just amazes me how he just hangs out like that when we hold him, and even more so when Jack does. He looks so sweet... lol

I will film that and post. And I did just check online about mealworms for finches. Miss Lydia was right when she suggested I feed them mealworms because they don't get adequate protein. I will go for the dried ones and as you suggested, give them just a couple to start with. I hope they like them. They seem to be popular with birds. And it never dawned on me to provide them for my sweeties.
I agree with you. It will be a nice treat. And also, you are right about the slow introduction since this will be the 1st time in their bitty lives they've ever had this delicacy. Besides, I do need to diversify their diets a bit more.Yes, I agree it would be a nice treat! I'm just saying I'd start kind of slow since their systems aren't used to things like that. I find it very hard not to give my ducks a lot of the treats they really like because when they get some, they stand there looking at me with pleading little eyes waiting for more. It makes me a little sad, but I also don't want to make them sick. If I were to dump a pound of mealworms on the ground in the middle of them, I guarantee they'd be gone within 15 minutes. One of my ducks would actually stop laying eggs if she got too many mealworms, which I thought was kind of weird.
I know. It is like a spell has come over him. Everything just hangs and dangles. It makes him just so cute and hard to believe he's a stinker at times. It just amazes me how he just hangs out like that when we hold him, and even more so when Jack does. He looks so sweet... lol

Awe, their little pleading eyes. Sweet little precious birds. I'd have to scoop them up and kiss their faces if they'd let me.

I love this picture. Cute Jack and cute Henry. That big duck is putty in his hands. Just relaxes and dangles his webs like nothing matters.
Awe, thank you! Jack loves his animals. He's our egg collecter and he loves it. He calls our geese his woodles. LolThat is one of the sweetest things ever!
Eeeeee, thanks Debs. Precious Jibby is about 5 and Little Bit is 4ish.Do you know the age of those precious finch-ducks, Julie?
I agree! You'd never know Henry has a stinker side to him.![]()
