Many ducks love cracked corn, but most of ours won't touch the stuff. We only try to feed it in the winter because it's very fattening. It's good in the winter for outdoor ducks since it helps them with body heat.
What is it that you're feeding JoJo as far as his duck feed goes? I can't remember. You might be able to feed her the same thing along with getting her some oyster shell. One thing you might want to do is ask the person you're getting her from if you can have (or buy) a pound of the feed they're using. You could mix that with what you're feeding JoJo so it's not a sudden change. Some ducks will refuse to eat if they have sudden food changes. We give our buyers about a pound of our feed unless they say they're going to use the exact same thing.
As far as JoJo's veggies and mealworms, those are fine for her. She's going to have a nicer diet with you than she does right now. Just don't be surprised if she's suspicious of treats at first. If she's never had them, she might be reluctant to eat them.
YAY!!!e
Right now jojo eats duck pellets non medicated food of course. I will find out what she's eating now for feed, I never thought of that. Great idea!!!! But this was my first day off for awile so I'm getting everything ready, other stuff to do, and my in laws are bringing her down early afternoon tomorrow which is better!
