Yeah, the lady that I got them from said they looked like buff ducklings, but when their adult feathers came in they were pure white. They are very fluffy and round like a pekin, but have the body size of a buff.

Of course you can.. Some of us dont even have Pekins but other breeds and we hang out here looking at the beautiful Pekins and visiting with their humans

I would love that, if you can and they let you. Are they just generally a shy duck breed? Probably more a type of duck to enjoy from a distance?

I've only had them for about 10 days, so I'm sure they need more time to warm up to me. I have two ducks that are super tame, and walk over to be picked up - and 4 ducks that will come up to me and eat out of my hand. If these two want to keep their distance, I am ok with that. I hope they don't think I'm going to murder them on a daily basis. I figure we will start there, and work up to more

I just got 5 Pekins for the first time. I've never owned and BYCs.

They eat like Hungry Hungry Hippos. If I keep feeding them, they'll be a number 5 on your above scale.

Well, the building of the ducks new outdoor play area and house is just started, the area we were digging we found a bathtub burried. Lol.

That's going to be really nice, and I'm so glad they have a good home!

Odd about the bathtub thing. I'm trying to figure out why anyone would bury a bathtub in the backyard.
