Pekin Duck Club!

Please help the little one get out of shell. I was trying to help her on top of everything and very excited. If I had the energy I could walk her through it. But I've been up for two days.

Lol I've got this!! Once she gives me the confirmation that she's ready. Will proceed. It shouldn't be to difficult. We have giving him enough time to absorb now we just need to give him a little helping hand. All should work out fine, I just don't want us to start until I know she's absolutely ready. I do hope she responses soon because he's so confined right now. He could stop breathing at any moment. I've seen that to many times, so something has to be done if he's not making the progress on his own and it will have to be today.

Surgery is going OK, I guess... its scary, i dont want to damage her or make her bleed excessivly.. i do have foreceps if needed to clamp a vein.
thanks for asking.
Anyone know where @Lacrystol is? please check your pm's if you see this

If you break her or him our start with egg shell first little piece at a time. Don't touch membrane to start with. Warm water. Be careful not to pull membrane. If blood stop.and you don't want her to get to cold either. Small piece and take your time.if you feel like it's taking you to long put her back in the incubator to warm up. The more of the outside shell you break without tearing the membrane is good.it will give her room to move around a little. She should try to assist you.when you get to membrane take it very slow she can bleed to death if you move it wrong. At the end do not detach the umbilical cord give her a chance to break lose from it on her own but don't leave her at these point. If she can't then you will have to cut the cord as close as you can without hurting her
