thank you i dont want to but i hate getting them this far and losing them i know it happens to everyone i just gotta figure out what in the world im doing so wrong to have such horrible hatch rates on ducks

@Danielle2006 I am so sorry.From all I have read water fowl is just not as easy as chicks but I agree with @WVduckchick don't give up, well you can't anyway you have eggs in the bator.

We all go through this main reason I let my ducks and hens hatch if I want babies. I'd be so devastated if I lost any. Hard enough to lose then under a real bator.

awee i havent took any pics of him yet i have the last pekin unzipping right now im so excited! Unfortunately the little duck with the really bad foot started choking on his watet and wouldnt eat so we had to put it out of its misery but it was for his own good and sure enough this last egg in the incubator started unzipping this morning all at once i will get pics of all of the babies including my mini chick as i call it lol it still is soooooo dang tiny but healthy as a horse i cant wait to so yall the babies! I have one more cayuga egg that goes on lock down in 2 days and im praying all goes well with it!

I am so sorry about the lil one but must have had more problems than just the foot. You did the best for it

Is it normal to see a little blood when they are unzipping their selves? I was shining my light on him just to see his progress and noticed some blood on one side of his zip :/

Small amount isn't anything to worry about probably just a vein that got hit.

Quick update he is out and trying to walk already!!!!! Thank you so much im so so happy his feet are perfect and he is loud!! Gosh i know i sound crazy but i was in tears of joy when he came all the way out and his little body was perfect!!
