Pekin duck has overlapping feet /today discovered a lump on foot ( Picture)

Thank you I will get some epsom salts in morning and maybe pop her to vet and see if he knows anything, although he is not an avian vet but he did look at one of my chickens before (here policy is very much they eat them not treat them :) would like to help this little lady.

Thank you I have googled and looks a bit like bumblefoot but no soft infection inside etc just hard solid lump and otherwise she is in good health, maybe a trip to vet but no avian vets here.

its possible the infections or the foot has formed a hard callus skin layer

soak in warm water to soften skin and then clean it up in epsom salt

eventually if it is bumble foot the tell tale black plug will be seen

The part about good health has me stumped, seems if it was bumble which is staff infection for it to be that bad your duck would be sick I would think. Seeing a vet would be a good idea, even if not avain he should be able to tell if it's an infection and treat appropriately. let us know please.

Took her to vet this morning and he was not concerned with the lump, he says as she is older it is just a callous but not causing her any pain, but was more concerned on shape of legs, he said its deficiency and that is what is causing her feet to overlap and walk strange and has ordered me some vitamin B3 and should get them on Thursday. The vitamins will not cure it as been like it far too long but may help strengthen a little. For the callous to soak in warm water and epsom,

Thank you to both Silverfox and Miss Lydia you were both extremely helpful. I just wish I had this little lady from birth as she would not have this problem now, vet says she has just been badly fed but since he knows me assures me she is in no pain and is sure being with me will be a big boost for her and will have a nicer life

I'm so glad to hear it's nothing serious, but I bet with soaking in ES and using something like a rasp I believe you can even find something in the store they use on feet to smooth rough callouses you can get this down smaller. and I have heard good things about B3 I'm sure under your care she will be one happy girl! Let us know how she get along.
