Hi,
I’m new to having ducks. I have 6 15week old Pekin ducks. Two ducks has been struggling to walk for a bit, after doing some research I thought there might be a vitamin definicacy so I added in the needed stuff and one has made a full recovery while the other had been on a pretty rapid decline. He hasn’t been able to walk, his feathers are dirty and clearly holding water like he’s lost his oil coat, had not been eating much but has been drinking normally. I don’t know what to do to help him. He is such a sweet boy and one affectionate duck (since hatching them he’s been the one duck to run to me instead of away). Please help!

This is the part of his feathers that’s most concerning.

Probably not doing much preening which means he isn’t spreading the oil over his feathers. Poor boy what are you giving him you said the needed stuff. You might want to try B complex liquid it seems to be the best at getting them a to recovrer better when already having issues if a vitamin def. you can pick it up at any place that has a good selection of vitamins Walmart for one the human one is 3ml a day. You can also get b complex liquid at TSC cattle dept it will say injectable but can be given orally it’s more concentrated so only 1 ml daily this season We have seen great results with those who have used it . @CayugaJana for one can tell you how it helped her pekins

I got a broiler booster from the vet that had lots of vitamins in it. And the vet had given shots of vitamins. The vet was off for a day or two and she called me back today had me syringe feed him the broiler booster mixed with water. He’s now in my house in a dry baby pool full of hay. He ate and drank a ton and is now napping
