Pekin Hen attacked by raccoon- antibiotic and care recommendations please

My husband just discovered our little ducky was attacked by a raccoon at some point overnight or this morning. I'm heading out to get supplies/antibiotics for her and want to know what I should look for. Many have been pulled from tractor supply and they only have injectibles. Also, wound care... what should we do?? Warning... picture is graphic.

Is this her back end eaten away? Not sure anything will help her if she has been partially eaten. Very sorry please explain what we are seeing.

She looks pretty badly torn up. I'm guessing abdominal damage and tend to agree with your assessment. It appears serious enough that veterinary help is needed. Even then going by that picture, the prognosis may not be favorable.

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for the quick responses! It's just above her right leg and it is on the abdominal side. I just got home from work and have been able to get a better look at her. It obviously broke through the skin and the opening is about 2-3 inches long and about 1-2 inches wide. She is walking around ok, just a little limp, which gives me hope she'll pull through.
She is having regular bowel movements (just a little runny) which makes me think there's no damage to her internal organs.

We also have two drakes that came in with her because they were bitten. They're injuries are super minor compared to hers.

Is there anything else I can share that will help?? Thanks again!! I really appreciate you all!!

Amazing now to keep infection away and flies away too. Any way you can take her to a vet? if not and we understand it isn't always feasible I'd get some Veterycin spray for wounds and infection TSC carries it and maybe some injectable penicillin Are you familiar with giving shots? I'll get you a link with great info. I hope you can keep them inside till their wounds are closed because infection isn't the only thing you have to worry about flies means maggots and that is not something you want to deal with.

Start by inspecting all of the bird as it can be easy to miss smaller punctures and lacerations. Carefully pluck feathers 1/2" away from wound edges. Feathers should be plucked in the direction that they grow to avoid the skin tearing. Thoroughly clean wound with sterile water, saline, or chlorhexidine (Novalsan)or betadine.

Yes, at night we have kept them inside a chicken tractor that my husband meticulously built. No compromisations until this... we discovered a small hole that must have just recently opened up in the netting.

They all will remain inside until they are fully healed, so no worries on flies and maggots (gross).

I plan to let her swim around in the bathtub this evening with some epsom salt and lavender infused lukewarm water to clean the wound, spray the area with wound-kote (recommended by TSC associate), pack it with sterile gauze, and wrap the area with gauze and a cohesive flexible bandage. We were thinking to do this at least twice per day to ensure no infection grows. The TSC associate also gave me the antibiotic Tylan with a syringe and needle. Do you know anything about that one?? I have not had any experience with injections yet, but I'm willing to do what it'll take for these little guys.
